What you can expect

  • You take responsibility for the strategic direction of the “subcontractor” product group assigned to you and develop innovative and tailor-made sourcing strategies, which you plan and implement in close cooperation with operational purchasing as well as the other specialist and interface departments.
  • You identify global procurement sources and acquire new partners, taking into account the previously defined sourcing strategies, in order to ensure long-term competitiveness and delivery capability and to create optimal cost structures.
  • You focus your analysis on the development of global procurement markets and make the best possible use of the group-wide bundling and optimization potential. You will sharpen your understanding of the (industry)-specific risks along global supply chains and develop concepts to avoid or minimize them.
  • You are responsible for the continuous development of the supplier portfolio and know how to build collaborative relationships with contacts across the various organizational structures and in a multicultural environment.
  • You work closely with the international sales units and coordinate between the strategically selected suppliers as well as the specialist and interface departments. You ensure market-oriented, binding offers based on optimized service specifications in the early offer phase and thus lay important foundations for later, successful project execution.
  • You independently carry out conditions and price negotiations, which you conclude in sustainably designed framework agreements, taking into account the constant company growth and group-wide capacity planning.
  • You establish standards and assess suppliers and their performance characteristics in order to ensure and continuously develop successful and goal-oriented collaboration in the long term.
  • You lead projects for process and cost optimization and actively shape the procurement processes, incorporating the defined sourcing strategy(s). You ensure that the agreed KPIs are adhered to.

What you bring with you

  • Completed studies in business administration or engineering or comparable specialist training
  • Min. 7 years of relevant experience in the supply chain area with a focus on sourcing as well as in-depth knowledge of international and strategic procurement
  • Analytical skills as well as strong negotiation skills and results orientation.
  • Proven success in implementing international sourcing initiatives
  • Outstanding teamwork and communication skills as well as self-responsibility
  • and very structured way of working
  • Entrepreneurial thinking and acting accompanied by an extremely strategic, pronounced market orientation
  • Confident use of common MS Office tools and good IT knowledge
  • Very good knowledge of German and English, both spoken and written
  • Experience in the PV industry or in project purchasing as well as experience would be a plus
  • Experience in purchasing subcontractor service would be also an advantage
